AT THE MARKET – Case goods importer Najarian Furniture has acquired property at 113 West Green Dr., where it plans to build a 40,000-square-foot freestanding showroom. The company acquired the 0.34-acre lot in mid-February. It was previously owned by Clarence M. Ilderton and was operated as a service station from 1961-1997. The building was razed in 1997 and has been a vacant lot since. Najarian has been showing at 220 Elm since 2009 and will occupy the new Modern French inspired freestanding building in early spring 2018.

“With the growth of our company, the lifestyle brand we’ve created, as well as our belief in culturing strong, lasting relationships, it’s essential we have space that’s perfectly suited for our current and long-term business goals,” said Michael Najarian, president, adding that the company has been looking to develop its own freestanding building for some time.

“We’re very excited about what this means for our company and are so grateful to our loyal customers and friends for making this possible,” says Najarian. “We’d be remiss too, if we didn’t thank Heinz Kattenfeld and the 220 Elm team. They have been incredibly accommodating and great to work with. They have certainly played a big part in our success, and we will remain in their debt.”
